For me at least, I invest way more time and money in knits than sewing. <br /><br />And it's different than giving handmade things as gifts: that feels great. (Man, that seems to be all I write when I co...Sigh. (Man, that seems to be all I write when I comment!) I have donated a couple of handknit sweaters to goodwill. Basically, if I don't wear it in 6 months, it goes in the donation pile. With handknits, sometimes I stretch that out to a year, because I made it and don't want to part with it, but I've been better lately about getting rid of things I just don't wear. And if things aren't quite finished, I just rip them out. Maybe that's easier with knitting than sewing? I don't know.
